Alliance Academy was founded in 1929 to provide a quality, U.S.-style education for the children of missionaries living in Ecuador. Since that time, the school has grown to its present size of around 570 students from Preschool through 12th grade. The majority of our students come from Ecuador, the U.S., and Asia, as well as from all parts of the world and many different backgrounds.
To develop followers of Jesus Christ who live with a focus on eternity.
To provide students with a U.S. style of education based on the highest standards of educational excellence.
To provide a caring community where students are taught to be critical in their thinking, multicultural in their understanding, and compassionate in their dealings with others.
Faculty members are qualified teachers predominantly from North America. Over fifty percent of the faculty have earned a Master's degree, and four percent have their Doctoral degree. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:43.5 (calculated as the total number of students divided by the total full-time equivalent of teachers). Specialists are provided in the elementary school for art, computer, music, physical education, and Spanish. Special Education and English as a Foreign Language departments assist students with learning differences and the English language acquisition.
Our graduates continue their formal education by attending colleges and universities in the U.S., Ecuador, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Alliance Academy International is a testing center for various college entrance exams. Our Advanced Placement program provides the opportunity for our graduates to enter colleges and universities with college credit.
