AAI's mission is to develop followers of Jesus Christ who live with a focus on eternity; to provide students with a US-style of education based on the highest standards of educational excellence; and to provide a caring community where students are taught to be critical in their thinking, multicultural in their understanding, and compassionate in their dealings with others.
AAI will be the premier international Christian school whose graduates thrive as life-long learners; follow Christ and live with a focus on eternity; readily engage in diverse cultures and communities; and mature as whole persons.
Alliance Academy International is an independent, Christian international school located in Quito, Ecuador, which serves children from the missionary, business, professional, entrepreneurs, diplomatic, and Christian ministry communities in the capital city of Ecuador. AAI's programs, services and ministry are built on the foundations laid by Christian & Missionary Alliance missionaries who founded the school in 1929. These programs and services that have achieved international quality are the result from the investment of hundreds of committed professional Christian educators over the decades rival those of any school in Latin America.
The Academy has a well-deserved reputation for academic excellence; breadth of educational opportunities and programs for students of varying gifts and ability levels; extensive programs in the arts and athletics; and an unwavering commitment to Christian ministry and outreach. Alliance Academy International was first accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), in 1965, and by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) in 1993. The school has maintained full accreditation and good standing with these accrediting agencies through the present.
AAI has a current capacity to serve 600 students in preschool through high school. Today, more than 30 nationalities from the 5 continents are represented in our student body as well as a wide variety of cultural groups and languages. Our students reflect the international reality of AAI by receiving a full immersion education in the English language, which drives us beyond a bilingual education. More than 70% of students whose native language is not English adopt English as their second language.
Annually, even before graduating, they choose to continue their university studies in South America, North America, Europe, and Asia.
There is a great spirit on campus as students from very diverse spiritual backgrounds are challenged to consider the veracity and reality of Christian faith, make a commitment to follow Jesus Christ, become discipled in their faith, and given opportunities to express that faith in very unique and creative ways.
AAI embraces and adheres to a statement of faith composed of the following tenets, reflective of the school’s historical identity and ongoing commitment as an evangelical Protestant Christian ministry.
